Entry #2: Growing Up

Lifes been a struggle the past two years from family issues to just trying to figure things out. I was kicked out at 18 because I had a candle lit in my room, so my mom assumed the worst and shipped me on my way. I thought candles were used to relax or make your room smell better not an indicator that you were trying to smoke some dope in your room behind your moms back. Anyways I found my way to my dads where life wasn't the greatest, but hey a room was over my head and I had a bed to sleep in. Two months later my dad was told to vacate the home because bills weren't being paid. I moved into a friends house where it didn't work out, so I moved around until I moved into an apartment with my friend who was pregnant and her boyfriend. The rent and bills were cheap and there are three people to help clean up after ourselves. What could go wrong? Well if you wanna deal with messy people who can't take out their own trash, leave dishes built up for 3 months or dirty diapers as decorations, then I found the roommates for you. That lasted a whopping 3 months until they moved out slowly, but they left. Finally I was going to have a great roommate who understood what I went through before and it was great until she ended up pregnant and panicked by moving out early on the lease and leaving me with a house to maintain by myself, and double the bills. I don't know what it is or if it's the water where I live, but pregnancy in others has been my biggest issue it seems. Things have gotten easier with my sisters moving in with me because they help a lot around the house and with my two pups, but I still get hit with things such as owing a lot on tax refunds and so forth, but not everything can go as planned in life and I've been learning to take the hits in life. I am only 20, so this is just life my life in progress.

  1. Kallie--Your blog is coming along. You have some interesting topics for discussion, but you are too brief. Slow down and develop. Be the author you are; don't be in such a hurry to get your assignment done. Dig into your analysis. Remember rhetoric and the audience that doesn't know you. Engage them. Create significance for them. Also, don't forget that this is not a personal blog, so if you are going to talk about personal issues, you need to connect them to your audience, to the human experience in some way. Don't forget about visual appeal as well.
